This month we are going to focus on Winnebago Class B camper vans, the Battle of the B’s! The Class B camper van market continues to grow and offers a number of different options for those looking to go where they want, when they want, in an RV. Class B motorhomes are compact and smaller in stature compared to traditional Class A and Class C motorhomes. Class B’s are also larger and taller than a typical full-sized van allowing space within the Class B RV for living, sleeping and a wet bath. Winnebago offers a number of different Class B van options, we will discuss two of them below.
The Winnebago Travato and the Winnebago Solis are built on the efficient RAM ProMaster chassis. This newly enhanced chassis now features additional safety and cab enhancements including electronic park brake, forward collision warning plus, multi-collision braking and more. The Travato and the Solis are each built with premium insulation to keep weather at bay and the sounds of the road out with ceiling-to-floor insulation. However, they also have many differences.
Winnebago Solis
The Winnebago Solis is available in 2 floorplans that sleep up to 4 people. The Solis 59P measures 19’9” and is available with either a rear Murphy+ bed or Rear Sofa/Bed option. The Solis 59PX measures 21’ in length and is available with the rear Murphy+ bed only. Each floorplan comes with the upper pop-top sleeping area standard with the FROLI sleep system and provides the option to remove the pop-top as well. Key features of the Solis include dinette seating with 3-point seat belts, wet bath with swiveling cassette toilet and swiveling cab seats that become an integral part of the living area. In the galley of the Solis, you will find a pull-out countertop extension, 2-burner gas range top, and a single door compressor-driven refrigerator that can be accessed from inside or outside of the coach.
