Mercedes-Benz VS30 Powertrain –
The new Sprinter’s design evolution features a reshaped grille, fenders, and lights, plus a new rear window. The cabin area redefines comfort with ergonomic seats, a redesigned instrument cluster, and a leather wrapped steering wheel. The 3.0L 6-cylinder turbo diesel offers 325 lb.-ft. of torque or power with 188 horsepower and Mercedes-Benz’ 7G-Tronic automatic 7 speed transmission with grade-braking assist. The 7G-Tronic automatic transmission has shorter acceleration times without sacrificing fuel economy.
Safety Enhancements –
When Mercedes built the new Sprinter, they didn’t just aim to set a new benchmark for vans – they set out to make one of the safest vans on the road, period. To accomplish this lofty goal, Mercedes brought all of their legendary knowledge, research, and development to the task.
Active Brake Assist senses the likelihood of a collision with a vehicle ahead and sends both a visual and audible warning followed by initiating autonomous braking, and an industry exclusive to include pedestrian active braking.
The new active distance distronic is an intelligent cruise control system that senses traffic conditions and actively controls your speed to keep you at a safe distance from the vehicle ahead.
The new active lane keep assist will provide you with visual and audible warnings if your van leaves its lane unintentionally.
Blind spot assist including Rear Cross Traffic Alert – employs automatic braking to avoid a collision with traffic crossing the vehicle’s path including traffic passing while the van is backing up.
Crosswind Assist detects strong gusts of crosswind and helps the driver to stay on course. At speeds over 50 mph it corrects the vehicle’s course by means of automatic braking intervention on the wheels on the side of the vehicle facing the wind.
New 360 Camera simplifies parking and overall maneuvering with extended safety support from the 360-degree camera system.
LED High Performance Headlights improve illumination, maximizing the view of the road ahead while further enhancing the vehicle’s overall aesthetic with a sleek optional front-end design
Technology –
The Boldt will have connectivity like never before with the new Sprinter Chassis. It starts with the large 10” MBUX touch screen with the “Hey Mercedes” operating system with intelligent voice control and natural speech recognition. The MBUX’s infotainment center features USB and USB C connections, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, Sirius XM, and a mobile hot spot in the van. The Boldt also features Mercedes-Benz’ Mercedes PRO functionality. Mercedes PRO users can access mobile WiFi and Car to X communication, one of the new Mercedes PRO connect services. Receive a warning in your new Sprinter with Car to X communication if there is heavy rain, fog, icy roads, or accidents ahead. This service is based on automatically collated data from all the vehicles using this technology, drivers get notifications when other drivers encounter a hazardous condition. The Mercedes PRO features require a Mercedes PRO account which is an additional fee.
