An original Go RVing “mini-movie” featuring TV personality Rutledge Wood and his young family began airing regularly on the SPEED Network on March 18.
Wood, a roving race analyst for SPEED and a star of History Channel’s Top Gear, was tapped to appear in the Go RVing production along with his wife and two young daughters as part of the campaign’s 2011 ad buy on SPEED’s NASCAR programming. The video vignette was shot in and around Daytona Beach, Florida, in February with a new Itasca Impulse motorhome courtesy of Winnebago.
“With an RV, when the race is over, our own personal adventure is just beginning,” comments Wood on location at the famed Daytona International Speedway. “To me it really doesn’t matter where we go, as long as we go RVing.” The family is shown traveling to the beach, enjoying home-cooked meals and relaxing in the RV after a day of outdoor fun. “RVing is the most affordable and least stressful way to travel,” Wood concludes as he recommends GoRVing.com for more information. The 60-second vignette will air through June during popular programs including Trackside, NASCAR Victory Lane, Sprint Cup Final Practice and NASCAR Raceday through June.
