If your RV has Ultrafabrics you may be wondering what the best way to clean it is. One of the best ways to keep Ultrafabrics looking great is through proper maintenance and regular cleaning to prevent excessive dirt from accumulating. To help your Ultrafabric covered furniture look its best, follow the below guidelines to extend the life of the fabric:
- Wipe up spills as soon as they occur
- Clean with soap and water
- Sanitize using disinfectants such as a (1:5) bleach/water solution (see list below)
- For stubborn stains, wipe off with isopropyl alcohol as soon as possible
- Thoroughly rinse all solution residue with clean water
- Air dry
*A variety of clothing and accessories may contain dyes that could transfer onto lighter colors of Ultrafabric, depending on variations in temperature and humidity. Dye transfer is not always fully preventable and may be irreversible. Fabric may not protect against intentional stains or permanent inks. (including ballpoint inks)
LIST OF CLEANERS AND DISINFECTANTS APPROVED FOR ULTRAFABRICS USE (when cleaning guidelines are followed)
- Alcohol-Based (i.e. Isopropyl/Rubbing Alcohol 70%)
- Bleach-Based (i.e. Clorox Germicidal Bleach)
- Hydrogen Peroxide-Based (i.e. Hydrogen Peroxide, Ecolab Oxycide)
- Quaternary-Based (i.e. Clorox or Lysol Disinfecting Wipes, Fantastik, Formula 409)
- General Cleaners (i.e. Soap & Water or 3M Neutral Cleaner 3L)
CLEANING/DISINFECTING RECOMMENDATIONS
Do not saturate/soak material with the cleaner/disinfectant. Rinse with clean water after exposure to eliminate residue. This recommendation will prolong the life of various furniture components (thread, seam, foam etc.) that can potentially be impacted by cleaner/disinfectant residue.
