Each year, we have hundreds of guests traveling from across the United States to purchase their Winnebago Motorhome from Lichtsinn RV. Some travel thousands of miles to do so.
Recently the Mason City Municipal Airport, located just 24 miles from Lichtsinn RV, added daily commercial non-stop jet service from Chicago O’Hare airport. The service is offered by United Express, operated by SkyWest Airlines.
For many of our guests this option may save time and money for those who can route flights through Chicago. The convenience of a small airport like the Mason City Municipal airport means less hassle. There is little or no waiting for luggage, no long walks from one concourse to the next and no busy loading and unloading zone to catch your ride.
If you prefer to arrive the night before you take delivery on your new or used RV there are several hotels near the airport that can accommodate you. Or you can make your way directly to Forest City and stay at the newly constructed Cobblestone Hotel in Forest City.
Other guests will opt to fly to larger airports in Minneapolis/St. Paul (MSP) or Des Moines, Iowa (DSM). These are great options for guests looking for non-stop service from other cities.
We make it as easy as possible to get here. When you have your travel plans booked, your sales consultant can coordinate with one of our transportation drivers to pick you up at the airport of your choice.
From either Des Moines or Minneapolis/St. Paul it is a short two-hour drive to Lichtsinn RV. From Mason City it is about 30 minutes.
When you arrive at Lichtsinn RV, your RV will be ready for you. It has already completed an in-depth pre-delivery inspection and a thorough cleaning. Once your paperwork is completed, you will be able to move into your new RV.
After your in-depth half-day orientation with one of our RVDA/RVIA certified technicians you will be able to enjoy our superior accommodations including use of our courtesy vehicle fleet (dependent on availability.)
Since Lichtsinn RV is only 1 mile from Winnebago Industries you can enjoy the Winnebago Visitor’s Center on the grounds of the Winnebago factory while you are here.
