One of the many features that make the Winnebago Revel a great adventure vehicle is its 320-amp-hour Lithium-Ion battery that allows you stay off-grid longer and more comfortably. The Revel’s battery is a standard Lithionics, UL 1973 certified, battery providing 4,133 watt-hours and it can be easily accessed as it is housed inside the Revels driver side wheel well. You may choose to add a second Lichtsinn RV installed Lithionics UL 1973 certified 320 amp-hour battery, increasing your total watt hours to 8,266.
If you’re going to park your Revel, unused, for extended periods of time you will want to completely turn off your battery system.
To turn off the Revel battery, you will press and hold the battery power button found on top of your battery. When you hold this, in a few seconds everything inside your Revel will turn off including lights and all power within your van.
You will then receive an error message on your solar charge controller and see flickering lights. To disconnect the solar from the rest of your electrical system you will want to turn the solar controller knob to the up position lining it up with the “off” setting. When you turn the switch off, you have now disconnected the solar as well as the batteries for your whole electrical system. Finally, you will want to ensure your Inverter is also turned off. Now your system is disconnected and in its “off state.”
To reverse this process, in other words to turn your Revel Battery System on, you are going to hold the button on top of the battery until everything inside the coach lights up again. Your power indicator light will come back on signifying that your battery is connected. You can easily monitor your battery’s state of charge, via Bluetooth, with your Revel App.
Next, you’ll want to bring your solar system online. You’ll want to turn the solar controller knob from the “off” position to the “on” position so that you are getting solar energy into your system as well. And just like that, you are ready to hit the open road again in your Winnebago Revel.
The function-fueled design of the Winnebago Revel with the freedom of on-demand 4WD coupled with the power of the Lithium-Ion Battery, means going off-road is never off the table. Call a Lichtsinn RV Sales Consultant today to find out more about the 4×4 Winnebago Revel.
