Winnebago Travato Floorplan Comparison

The Winnebago Travato Class B Van is one of the top-selling camper vans in North America for many reasons. The Travato boasts numerous energy and fuel-efficient systems, includes the latest in Winnebago enhancements, and is built on the powerful, fuel efficient and safety enhanced RAM ProMaster chassis. It is available in two floor plans, the 59K and 59G, with the option to upgrade to lithium power, the 59KL and 59GL.

Dining Area

In the 59K/59KL floor plan, the dining area is created using the two twins beds and an adjustable and removable lagun table. In contrast, the 59G/59GL offers a setup with two bucket seats with 3-point seat belts behind the driver’s seat, allowing for three dining spots when the driver’s seat is swiveled to face the rear of the coach.

Bedroom

The sleeping area in the Travato 59K/59KL is centrally located and features two twin-sized beds, measuring at 28″ x 74″ and 28″ x 80″. Each bed includes the WinnSleep system with storage beneath the passenger side bed. For added flexibility, the beds can be combined into a larger 74″ x 76″ sleeping area using the Winnebago Flex Bed system.

Comparatively, the sleeping area in the 59G/59GL is located in the rear of the coach with a murphy bed measuring 49”x77” that includes ample storage below even when lowered The bed can be raised and securely locked, creating additional storage space in the rear of the Travato for larger items.

Galley

There are several key differences in the galley between the two Travato floor plans. In the 59K/59KL, a pull-out counter extension slides out from beneath the Corian countertop and is color-matched to the coach’s interior wood. This extension also doubles as a table for the cab seating area when the seats are swiveled toward the living space. In contrast, the 59G/59GL features a flip-up Corian countertop that is stored at the side of the in-line galley, blends seamlessly with the rest of the surface and flips up to provide additional counter space when needed.

The appliances in the Travato floor plans differ as well. The refrigerator and freezer in the Travato 59K/59KL floorplan is a single door 4.3 cubic foot compressor-driven refrigerator and freezer while the Travato 59G/59GL floorplan includes a larger two door 6.0 cubic foot compressor-driven refrigerator and freezer. Additionally, the 59G/59GL is equipped with a microwave while the 59K/59KL has a microwave/convection oven.

Bathroom

Both floor plans feature a wet bath, meaning the shower, toilet, and sink are together in one shower surround. There are a number of differences in the wet bath area of the two Travato floor plans, beginning with the entry door to each. The Travato 59K/59KL bathroom door is a two-piece sliding door that is colored to match the rest of the interior design while the 59G/59GL uses is a sliding tambour bath door.

The wet bath in the Travato 59K/59KL measures 25” x 43” and provides access to a large sized wardrobe while the wet bath in the Travato 59G/59GL is slightly larger measuring 28” x 51”.

The bathroom sink in the Travato 59K/59KL is a plastic fold-down sink that can be stowed when not in use while the 59G/59GL is equipped with a round stainless steel sink.
